The purpose of this tract is to help you understand the Truth concerning Who God is and What God has done for you, and to give you a complete understanding of His Grace for Salvation.

1st Who is God?

The Bible teaches that there is only ONE true God the Creator and that there is a Godhead, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Here is another way to understand the Godhead. Within the Spiritual Nature of the One living God there are three persons Co-equal and Co-eternal, or what is called the Trinity, or the 3 in 1 (1 X 1 x 1 = 1)

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Romans 1:19-20

Since what may be known about God is plain to us, because God has made it plain to us. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--His eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

John 4:24

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (The Word is a title for Jesus)

John 1:14

The Word (Jesus) became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 1:1-2

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.

2nd God has declared that NONE of us are righteous and that we have an issue called sin.

Isaiah 64:6-7

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our Righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

Romans 3:9-18

We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. As it is written: ”There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." "Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” The poison of vipers is on their lips." "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness." "Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know." "There is no fear of God before their eyes.

3rd And this sin issue separated us from having a spiritual relationship with God and caused spiritual death.

Isaiah 59:2

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.

Isaiah 6:7

No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of You; for You have hidden your face from us and made us waste away because of our sins.

Galatians 3:22

But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin.

Romans 5:12

Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death.

1 John 1:8

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

4th The next problem is that we cannot have a relationship with God through keeping what we call the 10 Commandments or what is called “the Law”. The law was never given for us to keep; it was given to show us what sin is and to lead us to the solution, Jesus.

Romans 7:13

Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.

Romans 3:19-20

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.  Therefore no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

Galatians 3:10-11

All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."  Clearly no one is justified before God by the law.

1 Cor. 15:56

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

Galatians 3:24

So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.

5th Now we understand that we have an issue called sin and we cannot perform any Righteous acts  by keeping the “The Law” that would make us righteous in God’s sight. And because of sin we are dead spiritually, because the WAGES of sin is spiritual death. So let’s deal with the sin issue first, and then the spiritual death issue. God’s solution to our condition is His Son Jesus.

Isaiah 1:18

"Come now, let us reason together, "Says the Lord. "Though Your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:6-8

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Cor. 5:21

God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him We might become the righteousness of God.

1 Tim. 1:15

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners

John 19:30

Jesus said, "It is finished." (PAID in FULL) With that, He bowed his head and gave up His spirit.

6th God’s solution to our Separation and Sin issue is what God calls RECONCILIATION. Reconciliation was accomplished through the death of Jesus on the Cross. The cross is where God deals with the world’s sin or sins, past, present, and future “ forever”. The reason God paid for all our sins is because the wages of sin is spiritual death --- God could not leave one sin unpaid, because when we sin after we were reconciled it would have cause spiritual death again. So all sin had to be dealt with past, present, and future “forever”.

God’s forgiveness is eternal, because God is going to give us eternal life. So God has given us eternal forgiveness. But we must understand this we don’t receive eternal life from the cross, we only receive eternal forgiveness and this forgiveness has been given to the whole world. Every person born into this world has been reconciled to God. But every person born into this world is Spiritually DEAD!

2 Cor. 5:19

That God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Col. 1:22

But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation--

Romans 5:10

For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!

7th There is only one unforgivable sin. It is called blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. And rejecting Jesus as God’s only way for Justification causes this sin. It is called unbelief in Jesus and Unbelief in Jesus’ provision for Salvation. This is the only sin God deals with in the life of every person on the face of the earth. God paid for all other sin or sins that we have committed in the past, present, or future.

Mark 3:29

But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be Forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

John 16:5-13

"Now I (Jesus) am going to Him (Father) who sent me, yet none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?'  Because I have said these things, you are filled with grief. But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. When He comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see Me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.

8th And now we will deal with the Spiritual Death issue. The problem that sin caused is Spiritual Death. We need Spiritual LIFE and the only way we can receive spiritual life is through receiving the Resurrected spiritual life of Jesus. (Read the last part of Romans 5:10, “shall be saved through his life”. This is why Jesus was Raised from the dead to give us spiritual Life. And that is why you don’t get Salvation or Eternal life at the cross because the cross cannot give you spiritual life.

The cross is only the first part of the process for Eternal Life, since it is still possible to reject Jesus as the only way for Justification even though God has Reconciled the entire world. God’s solution to our Death issue is what God calls JUSTIFICATION. It was accomplished through the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead. This is where you receive spiritual life the 2nd part of God’s plan for Eternal life.

Romans 4:25

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Romans 5:18

Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men.

9th Now that we understand Reconciliation (The Cross) and Justification (The Resurrection) the next step is how can we receive this work of God’s grace.

John 3:3

In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." (New Spiritual Life)

Romans 8:9-11

And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.

Romans 10:9-13

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Ephes. 2:4-9

But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.

To help us understand what Grace and Faith truly are, It is easier to think of them in the person of Jesus, because Grace or Faith without Jesus amounts to nothing.

For it is by grace (Jesus) you have been saved, through faith (Jesus)

10th Right Now---if you would like to receive eternal life, pray this prayer with me.

“Father in heaven, thank You for (Reconciling) all my sins through Jesus Your Son who has reconciled me to Yourself through His death on the cross, but Father I still need Spiritual life (Justification) because sin caused spiritual death in me. And now I ask for the Resurrected Spiritual life --- the Spirit of your Son Jesus to come in me and give me (Justification) by His Resurrected Spiritual life so I can have Eternal life with You Forever, Amen.

2 Cor. 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a New creation; the old has gone, the New has come!

1 Cor. 15:1-4

Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.  For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

Acts 20:24

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

Titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for Himself a people that are His very own, eager to do what is good.
